Georgia Leaves Autism AIM Team

Our Deputy Manager Georgia Holden-Burnett is leaving the Bradford and Craven Autism AIM team at the start of July for a new role. In nearly five years as part of the wider Autism AIM service, they have achieved so much!

In their time with us, Georgia has led on the creation of many of our free resources. They include our autism and mental health guides, Personal Independence Payment (PIP) guides and health access resources.

Award-winning

Georgia led on sensory audits of mental health inpatient settings, done in partnership with Bradford District Care NHS Foundation Trust. This work won an award back in the autumn of 2023.

They also set up and co-facilitated our monthly online Mental Health Peer Support group and delivered autism awareness training to professionals across the district. Finally, Georgia engaged with organisations throughout Bradford and Craven to advocate for the needs of autistic adults in our area.

Georgia leaves us with our best wishes. We will really miss working with them, particularly their approach when speaking to a wide range of people.

What happens next?

We aim to have a new Deputy Manager in place for Bradford and Craven Autism AIM later this summer. For the time being, if you have any enquiries about our service, please email us at bradfordautismaim@advonet.org.uk.

As for our groups, we will continue to have two co-facilitators from our team for each one. Our Information Officer Luke will be joining Peer Development Worker Nelly for the monthly Mental Health Peer Support Groups in the interim.
