Mental Health Survey focus groups for Bradford and Craven

As part of our work on online surveys about accessing mental health services, we are running two focus groups in the coming weeks. They are for autistic adults living in Bradford and Craven, with one being in-person and the other online.

The focus groups will ask participants about:

  • Mental Health Access Barriers for autistic adults in Bradford and Craven
  • Autistic people’s experiences with mental health services in Bradford and Craven
  • What you would like to see done to improve mental health access for autistic adults

Both sessions are free to attend and will be facilitated by an autistic member of our staff team.

In-person focus group

The in-person focus group session is on Thursday 24th July from 5:30pm to 7pm. It will be at The Cellar Trust’s Farfield Centre in Shipley at this address:

The Farfield Centre
Farfield Road
Shipley
BD18 4QP

Directions to the building are available at this link: The Cellar Trust | Contact. On the day, we will be providing fidget toys, refreshments and snacks.

Online focus group

Instead of our usual monthly online Mental Health Peer Support Group for next month, we will be running an online focus group on Zoom. It is on Wednesday 6th August, running from the extended time of 5:30pm to 7pm.

Our scheduled discussion about meltdowns, shutdowns and mental health will now take place on Wednesday 3rd September on Zoom at the normal time of 6pm-7pm. If you would like to read more on this topic, you can find our guide to meltdowns, shutdowns and mental health by clicking on the button below.
