The Autism AIM – Mental Health Equity Project team have surveys out, asking autistic adults in West Yorkshire and the Craven area of North Yorkshire to share their views on mental health services and support. There is a survey for each of the following areas:
- Bradford District and Craven – includes the City of Bradford, Skipton, Keighley and Shipley
- Calderdale – includes Halifax, Brighouse, Elland and Todmorden
- Kirklees – includes Huddersfield, Dewsbury, Batley and Mirfield
- Leeds – includes the City of Leeds, Pudsey, Morley and Rothwell
- Wakefield – includes the City of Wakefield, Castleford, Pontefract and Ossett
What are the surveys about?
In each survey, there are questions about whether you have accessed any mental health services, whether they worked for you and barriers to accessing support.
As well as the survey, the project will run in-person focus groups in Leeds and Bradford. The Leeds focus group will be on Thursday 31st July from 5:30pm to 7pm at their Autism Hub. Bradford’s focus group will be on Thursday 24th July, with the time and venue to be confirmed shortly.
