Post-Diagnostic Support

We can provide up to four one-to-one post-diagnostic sessions for autistic adults (18 or older) with little or no funded support in the Bradford, Airedale and Wharfedale and Craven areas. To access this service, you will need an autism diagnosis.

What is post-diagnostic support?

Our post-diagnostic support is a free service which gives autistic adults the opportunity to meet and talk one-to-one with an autistic member of staff. You can access this service no matter when you were diagnosed as autistic.

What does Bradford Autism AIM offer?

In our post-diagnostic support sessions, we can help you to:

  • Explore your diagnosis
  • Understand your autism
  • Develop Strategies to manage day-to-day
  • Talk about Families and relationships
  • Put forward your needs
  • Know about disclosing your diagnosis or not
  • Understand sensory issues
  • Understand your rights / reasonable adjustments
  • Find relevant support through mental health signposting / counselling signposting

You can have up to four peer support sessions a year and each session usually last for 45 minutes.
